The CPL® 2006 Championship Finals will take place Wednesday, December 13 to Sunday, December 17, 2006 at the landmark Hyatt Regency hotel in downtown Dallas.

After a few days of registration less than 40 spots are available for the $50,000 Quake 3 tournament to be hosted at the CPL 2006 Championship Finals.

The decision to host this Quake 3 tournament was based on votes from the CPL tournament staff, world partners, 1v1 tournament committee and an open poll on the CPL forums.
This is the first time in CPL's 9-year history that a game was selected based on the opinion of the community, competitors and partners. Also it's the first time that competitors have had an opportunity to pre-register for a CPL event, before BYOC-attendees, spectators, media, staff and volunteers.
