In matters excremental, Delvoye’s efforts are rivalled, perhaps even surpassed, by fellow artist Michelle Hines, whose 1995 work Peristaltic Action involved Ms Hines apparently producing a single, continuous turd measuring some 26 feet in length. This prodigious feat required, we’re told, a high-fibre diet, a butt plug and a suitable venue – the Cranbrook-Kingswood High School bowling alley in Michigan – which, according to Hines, “offered a length of floor suitable for measuring the results.” Readers with a sturdy constitution can click here to see Ms Hines in action, as it were.
There is, however, some doubt as to the veracity of Hines’, er, output, and the artist has subsequently claimed that her work is in fact a “parody” that explores the “absurd lengths people will go to be remembered.” Another Hines triumph, Number of Days Without Sleep, purported to show the artist depriving herself of sleep for 528 hours in December 1994 - which, of course, she didn’t. Unlike Mr Delvoye, and with suitable postmodern irony, Ms Hines seems to believe that ersatz pretension and vacuity is much more worthwhile than the real thing.

Michelle Hines, an artist of sorts, has claimed a world record for producing a single extruded excrement measuring 26 feet in length
One of the reasons for attempting to create such a record was to draw attention to her new found art form, i.e. the art of shitting.
Michelle continues: “In February 1995, working in conjunction with a nutritionist at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, I adopted a super fiber-rich diet which allowed me to successfully produce a single extruded excrement the exact length of my colon: 26 feet. I documented the extrusion at the Cranbrook-Kingswood High School Bowling Alley, Bloomfield Hills, MI, which offered a length of floor suitable for the process and measuring the results.
The cathartic diet was supplemented by a high intake of Metamucil fiber substance. The week long endurance prior to the event was ensured by the employment of a plug specifically designed to curtail any premature excretions.”
The record performance was recorded on video and Michelle subsequently published a series of stills of the event at various art exhibitions.
Michelle has previously established record breaking feats, the most notable being her World Record #3: Number of Days Without Sleep. From November 29December 21, 1994 Michelle, apparently, sustained a period of sleeplessness for 528 hours 17 minutes, breaking the previous record by some 75 hours
Michelle has performed these feats in order to draw attention to herself and her love of unusual art forms, it is about the quest for immortality and the absurd lengths one will go to be remembered.
Then again, rumor has it that Michelle was jilted by a lover who happened to bowl two perfect games at that bowling alley, the only perfect games laid down there in the past thirty years.
Consequently, lover boy was revered at the bowl and everybody wanted to play on that lane.
In order to put a stop to lover boy’s fame, Michelle decided to make her record attempt there and shit all over his favourite alley
Needless to say, lover boy never went back to that bowling alley after her performance and the bowl was always remembered as “Turd Alley”.

Если бы я узнал, что какая-то девушка установила рекорд по самому длинному в мире сабжу, то она скорее всего тут же мне перенравилась )) Или женился на такой, а все вокруг пальцем тычут "хаха, эта та девка, которая выпустила из себя самый длинный сабж".
